Rocket Robo – ($0.99)
This one caught me by surprise, and so much so that I had to award it the top spot in the big Thursday update. Take a look at its trailer to see what I saw – you assume it's going to be another simplistic App Store diversion, but Rocket Robo's got real depth with its 3D worlds, physics puzzles and funny, jetpack-equipped robotic hero. This one deserves to do well.
Trambo – ($1.99)
Another strong-looking entry into the App Store's minimalist platformer genre.
Dungeon Keeper – (Free)
EA's updated the PC classic to become a free-to-play App Store strategy staple.
Wizard Quest – ($0.99)
A match-three puzzler in which making matches clears the path for an adventuring wizard to keep moving forward in his quest:
LEGO Star Wars: Microfighters – ($0.99)
A scrolling shooter using the style of LEGO Star Wars. Pretty straightforward idea!
Draw Slasher – ($2.99)
Your finger becomes a ninja in Draw Slasher:
Bloodstroke – ($2.99)
Finally, fans of John Woo's action films might want to take a look at this, the first app to have his name attached:
Space Qube – (Free)
Finally, the voxel-powered retro shooter that lets you create your own interstellar objects to destroy has gone free today. Give it a look:
