Borderlands 2 Valentine’s Day DLC Announced

Gearbox has announced Borderlands 2’s next DLC, Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre. The Valentine’s Day-themed pack will be out on February 11, 2014 for $2.99 and will be the fourth Headhunter DLC for Borderlands 2. Like all Headhunter packs, a unique head and skin will be unlocked for beating the DLC’s boss with each character, and the fight can be run multiple times with increasing difficulty.

Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre revisits the feud between Borderlands 2’s Hodunk and Zaford families, who were last seen in the main game’s Clan War mission. This time, a Goliath from each family will soon be married, and Moxxi has the Vault Hunters gather ingredients to make a love potion to guarantee that things go smoothly.

Gearbox also confirmed today that the fifth Headhunter pack, Sir Hammerlock and the Son of Crawmerax, will be coming in April. That pack will mark the final DLC for Borderlands 2, nearly 18 months after the game was originally released in September 2012.

Previous Headhunter packs included TK Baha’s Bloody Harvest in October, The Horrible Hunger of the Ravenous Wattle Gobbler in November, and How Marcus Saved Mercenary Day in December.
