Customers who register a 2DS, 3DS or 3DSXL system and a qualifying game on Club Nintendo will be able to download Pokemon X or Pokemon Y for free.
The free game give-away rumor was first reported by IGN on Friday, and is now confirmed by a special page on the Club Nintendo website. The promotion runs from Mar. 1 until Mar. 31.
According to the site, those who "register a portable Nintendo 2DS, 3DS, or 3DS XL system and a qualifying game between March 1st to March 31st," will "get a FREE Pokémon X or Pokémon Y download code."
The qualifying games listed on the site are:
- Animal Crossing: New Leaf
- Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
- Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins
- Mario Kart 7
- Super Mario 3D Land
- Yoshi's New Island
