Call of Duty: Ghosts' Onslaught DLC, which hit Xbox systems on January 28, is scheduled to come to PC and PlayStation platforms in late February. Activision announced today that PC, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 players will get access to Ghosts' first DLC pack on February 27. It will be available as a standalone ($15 / £12 / €11) or as part of the Season Pass ($50 / £35 / €37).
Onslaught includes four new maps, the Maverick assault/sniper rifle hybrid, and the first of a four-part Extinction mode story. The first episode, titled "Nightfall," takes place in a remote Alaskan research facility on a mission to find out what happened to the ominously named Nightfall Program. It introduces new characters, two new alien species, and an exclusive Venom-X weapon to use against the Cryptids.
This pack is also notable for the Fog map, an homage to classic horror films that lets one player don the identity of movie boogieman Michael Myers, complete with the signature Halloween theme music. The other three maps include BayView, a fast-paced map that lets you call in artillery strikes from a Naval vessel; Containment, set in a Mexican village with leaking radioactive material; and Ignition, a reimagined version of Scrapyard from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
