Did you hear the news about Japanese videogame composer turned acclaimed classical auteur Mamoru Samuragochi? After losing his hearing at 35 the man continued to release works for nearly two decades, or so it seemed. Turns out the only thing he was really playing was the public. While the media dubbed him the Japanese Beethoven, writing incredible symphonies without the use of his ears, dude had a ghost writer working for him the whole time. In fact, after recording we've just discovered said ghost writer has come out and claimed Samuragochi's hearing loss story is fake too; he's insisting the guy is just pretending to be deaf.
- We discuss just how audacious you have to be to pretend to go from little-known videogame composer to Japan's answer to one of the most-esteemed composers to have ever lived.
- We accidentally let Cam talk about Hearthstone again.
- We let Baker talk about the time he won a trophy constructed from a buttplug, and why all his custom belts in WWE 2K14 are made with John Cena's nipples.
- Why is Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes AUD$90 at EB Games? No, seriously?
- Jax and Daxter: the greatest game featuring a cyborg and Ben Baker's head you've never played.
- We discuss whether The Last Crusade is better than Temple of Doom for no particular reason.
- Cabela responds to Lord Percival Merriweather's damning review of Cabela's Alaskan Adventure and the team answers your questions from the Pubcast Mailbag!
