Ubisoft and Sony Team for Rabbids Feature Film

Ubisoft and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced today that they’ve partnered to turn the video game and TV sensation The Rabbids into a hybrid live-action and animated feature-length film.

According to the press release, Ubisoft Motion Pictures “will actively participate in the film's production.”

"There is an infectious quality to the Rabbids. Their simple joy and absurd, anarchic behavior inadvertently causes you to look at the world afresh. There's no end to the comedy and chaos they will cause when they invade our theaters," said Hannah Minghella, president of Production for Columbia Pictures, in a statement.

Beginning as the villains in Ubisoft's Rayman video games, The Rabbids have since hit the small screen in Nickelodeon’s Rabbids Invasion and even become a French theme park attraction.
