Final Borderlands 2 DLC Announced

Gearbox has announced the last piece of DLC for Borderlands 2. Due out on April 15, the final DLC will be called Sir Hammerlock vs. the Son of Crawmerax and will cost $2.99.

This will be the fifth Headhunter DLC for Borderlands 2 and will take place on an abandoned island resort. Sir Hammerlock has been kidnapped, and the Vault Hunters will need to rescue him by tracking a new type of varkid. In the end, they’ll also get a chance to fight a new raid boss raid boss for the last time.

Borderlands 2 was released in September 2012, and nearly 18 months will have passed by the time Sir Hammerlock vs. the Son of Crawmerax brings its DLC to a close. DLC released in that time included four campaign expansions as part of the Borderlands 2 Season Pass, two new classes, and two Upgrade Packs that brought the level cap to 72, up from 50 in the core game. Borderlands 2 is also headed to Vita this Spring.
