Wolf of Wall Street Becomes Scorsese's Biggest Hit

The Wolf of Wall Street is officially the highest grossing film of director Martin Scorsese's career, after it crossed the $300 million global mark.

Box Office reports that the movie already raked in $107.8 million in North America, and now it's managed to add to this hefty sum with an additional $196.9 million from overseas.

Particular markets in which the movie continues to do exceedingly well include the UK, France and Germany.

The big question now is how The Wolf of Wall Street manages to do throughout the rest of award season. Stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill are both nominated for their respective roles at this years Academy Awards, though the film hasn't been included in the BAFTA Best Picture contenders.

Still, with all this success it's not hugely surprising that Hill and DiCaprio are keen to team up again; They're set to star in a new drama based on the man falsely vilified as the Atlanta Olympics bomber.
