Scheduled for a winter 2015 release, new details have emerged about Star Wars: Episode VII's shooting schedule, which reportedly begins filming this May.
Said to have been confirmed by a number of sources, Hitfix claims the film will start shooting in mid-May and continue through to September. According to the report, most of the principal cast has already been chosen.
The report also suggests that Billy Dee Williams will return as Lando (not JUST for The Lego Movie, folks!), along with most of the original trilogy’s principal cast. The return of Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca and Kenny Baker as R2-D2 is still up in the air. Despite R2-D2 already being confirmed, it’s possible director J.J. Abrams will stick to a completely CGI R2-D2.
Yeah, they're fine, but who is Benedict Cumberbatch playing, Abrams?!
Star Wars: Episode VII opens December 18, 2015.
