South Park: The Stick of Truth will not make use of Ubisoft's Uplay platform, according to developer Obsidian.
The news was confirmed by the studio's Twitter, which also revealed that the game will instead be fully integrated with Steam on PC. This means you can expect Steam Achievements, and the other perks that come with titles on Valve's platform.
.@Fool_Wolf @Steam_Support Nope, Uplay is not featured in Stick of Truth
— Obsidian (@Obsidian) February 4, 2014
Originally due to release last year, South Park: The Stick of Truth has suffered myriad delays, and is now expected to land on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on March 4 in North America and March 6 in Europe.
A range of pre-order bonuses are available for the game depending where you decide to register your interest in the title. Additionally, the Australian version of Stick of Truth has been "modified", supposedly due to anal probes and child abuse laws.
